Quispamsis-Westfield-Gagetown-Jemseg-Springfield-Norton-Quispamsis
These photos were taken from roadside stops on a drive up the "River Road" from Westfield to Gagetown in late May. It was a late spring, and the service berry trees were still in bloom, and the river was still at freshet levels. All along the way were bright green fields, budding trees, and river views.

Mid-May and early June are wonderful times to travel to New Brunswick. Along the rivers, the trees are not full-out, so the water views can be seen more easily than later in the summer. The lupins are at their colorful best, a real treat for photographers. The tourist season is not yet in full-swing so traffic is light. Even on major highways, it is often possible to pull over to catch a great shot. But the backroads are the best source of Picture Province pictures.
